These economical kilns are time tested for both reliability and durability and are easily the best selling enamelling kilns in the U.K. Being built in Germany by EFCO the kilns comply to all CE requirements.
With maximum temperatures of 950c (110) and 1100c (135. 150 and 180), the kilns offer a wide range of applications such as enamelling, jewellery, glass fusing, PMC, low fire ceramics, bead batch annealing and metal work to name a few.
These kilns are of "muffle" construction which means that the element is wrapped around the chamber and so is safely hidden away, leaving the kiln safe to use without a door switch.
The guarantee for this kilns is 2 years on all parts excluding the elements which are assessed on a case to case basis.
Important.
The 110,135,150 and 180 are ready to go with a 13 amp plug top fitted BUT in standard form the kilns have NO temperature control or indication. This means that if plugged in and left un-monitored the kilns will continue to rise in temperature until the element burns out.
For this reason, EFCO do NOT recommend using these kilns without temperature control.

The EFCO regulator
A traditional energy regulator that works just as the dial on a home cooking appliance. Set the dial to full and the kiln will heat at full speed, once at the temperature required is reached, turn the dial back and to maintain the temperature.
KCR1
The KCR1 controller is designed by Kilncare and is unique in the craft controller world.
It is a fully adjustable, 9 segment, 9 program digital controller WITH a 13 amp socket outlet on it's face.
Simply insert the thermocouple into the kiln, plug the kiln into the KCR1, plug the KCR1 into any 13 standard Socket Outlet and off you go.
The KCR1 offers full temperature and firing cycle control as well as a pause facility, segment forward, KW used display, audible alarm and a host of features thatmake kiln life worry free.
Above all, the primary design principle for the KCR1 was ease of use.

KCR1 stand
The KCR1 stand enables the KCR1 to sit at a comfortable angle on a bench to or to be fixed to the wall.
Refractory shelf
Each Kilncare sold 110, 135,150 and 180 comes complete with a refractory shelf.
Chamber sieve
The EFCO firing sieve enables items to be kept clear of the kiln base and allow air to flow below the item. It can also be used as a rest and to keep the refractory shelf raised from the kiln floor.
