The glass studio / workshop can produce products/items to your design or specification on a commercial basis. Perhaps you are a designer or artist who wants to contract out the manufacturing.
Using what is believed to be the only machine of its type available for grinding glass within the U.K. Grinding and polishing can be done for either edge work or for a flat surface ranging in
size from something as small as 10mm diameter up to an area of 2 meters x 1 meter.
The machine uses top of the range diamond grinding and polishing disks for the best results possible, these are run at a variety of speeds to suit the work and the grade of diamond being used at the time.
These new cold working facilities (which also includes a glass saw of 2.4 meters in length and drilling equipment) complements the existing facilities at IGF these being various kilns of sizes up to 2.5 x 1.5 meters.
For further details please contact Mike who will be happy to discuss your individual requirements.
