I like to work on themes of structure, whether on a monumental or macroscopic scale...in our lives, in nature, architecture and the human body. Currently I am fascinated in the land around me in my new country, Scotland, and find many forms of the environment slipping into my work. The changing seasons here are so obvious I wonder how I missed them living in London, but these changes influence my work on a daily basis. I like to really work with the glass to achieve the end result, physically making a connection with each piece, including mould making and casting, sandblasting, diamond point engraving, grinding, polishing and slumping.
